Job summary

Klute in Nebraska is seeking an organized Accountant to own Accounts Payable and support the Controller. You will process vendor invoices, code GL accounts, manage approvals, and ensure timely payments in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in AP or general accounting, strong attention to detail, and ethical handling of confidential information. Manufacturing experience is a plus, and the role offers competitive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and internal controls.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Route invoices through the approval workflow.
• Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices (three-way match).
• Enter bills into the accounting system.
• Scan and electronically file invoices and supporting documentation.
• Maintain organized AP records and documentation.
• Establish and maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
• Prepare weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Record company credit card transactions and reconcile monthly statements.
• Review employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Assist the Controller with month-end accounting activities and year-end documentation.
