Job summary

Ben-E.-Keith is hiring an Accounts Payable associate to code invoices, maintain AP files and reconcile discrepancies. You will verify accuracy of invoices and support month-end closing while ensuring timely resolution of open items.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in Accounts Payable or equivalent duties.
• Wholesale foodservice distribution experience preferred.
• Must be very detail oriented and highly organized.
• Outstanding computer skills.
• Accurate Data Entry Skills, alpha and numeric, 10 key by touch.
• MS Office Suite, Excel, Basic Word.
• Enterprise A/P software experience; SAP/VIM experience preferred.
• Professional communication skills and excellent telephone etiquette.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment and schedule workload.
• High School Graduate/GED.

Responsibilities

• Voucher invoices received from vendors for product purchased for resale.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between pricing/quantities and invoiced items.
• Collaborate with merchandise department head on pricing discrepancies and operations staff on quantity discrepancies.
• Follow up on all open items to ensure timely resolution.
• Scan and image all vouchered documents at the end of vouchering.
• Verify accuracy of work by reviewing posted voucher listings daily.
• Maintain listing of outstanding liabilities by department; assist month-end closing.
• Maintain Accounts Payable files.
• Other tasks as requested by Controller.
