Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Non Trade Payable Specialist in Schaumburg, IL for a 3-month contract. You will process high volumes of PO/non-PO invoices, perform three-way matching, and assist with payments while maintaining accurate AP records.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years AP experience, a degree in accounting/finance, strong Excel skills, and sharp attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 1–3 years of accounts payable or related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with invoice processing, vendor accounts, and payment procedures.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter a high volume of PO and non-PO invoices into the accounting system.
• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and appropriate approvals.
• Perform three-way matching between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with preparing and processing ACH payments, wire transfers, and check runs.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payment status, and account discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP reconciliations and accruals.
• Follow company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
