Job summary

International Line Builders Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Shared Services Center by processing invoices, resolving queries, and ensuring policy and SOX compliance. The role focuses on accurate, timely payments, vendor relations, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has an associate's degree in accounting or related field and at least two years in accounts payable for a for-profit company, with proficiency in AP systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two years' experience in Accounts Payable in a for-profit company.

Responsibilities

• Enter, validate, and post invoices within the accounts payable system.
• Ensure invoices are accurately coded to the appropriate general ledger accounts, matched to purchase orders when applicable, properly approved, and processed for payment (check, ACH, wire transfer, or credit card) in accordance with payment terms and discount opportunities.
• Partner with Operations, Purchasing, and Accounting to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
• Adhere to accounts payable policies, internal controls, segregation of duties requirements, payment terms, and SOX compliance standards.
• Maintain positive vendor relationships by responding to inquiries, resolving disputes, and addressing payment-related concerns.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and service levels. Assist with implementing approved process improvements.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and other communications for internal and external stakeholders as needed.
• Support the procure-to-pay process by facilitating efficient supplier payments and administering travel and expense reimbursements, as assigned.
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
