Everts Air in Fairbanks, AK is seeking a Regular Full-Time Accountant to classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data, coordinating with the Accounting Manager on vendor accounts. This in-house role requires attention to detail and adherence to policies.

Starting at $25.00 per hour, non-exempt, with standard benefits and in-house operations. Remote work is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in recording and classifying financial data.
• Ability to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
• Experience with vendor accounts and payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
• Code and post documents according to company procedures.
• Match invoices with orders and record necessary information.
• Access computerized financial information to answer questions on accounts.
• Debit, credit, and total accounts using accounting software.
• Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper codes.
• Monitor loans and accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Compile financial reports and tables on expenditures and accounts payable.
• Prepare checks for utilities, taxes, and other payments.
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies and procedures.
• Perform financial calculations including amounts due, interest, and principal.
• Perform general office duties such as filing and answering phones.
• Prepare Forms 1099 for year-end processing.
• Assemble copies of invoices coded to asset accounts for Controller and managers.
