SMF in Illinois is seeking an accounting clerk to perform routine AP tasks, data entry, and daily postings with accuracy. You will enter vendor invoices, code batches, and maintain documentation while supporting the accounting team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 10-key proficiency, and experience with Excel/Word. This on-site role offers a robust benefits package and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience as accounting clerk or data entry preferred.
• Proficient with a 10-key calculator.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Good math and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Process accounts payable batches and vendor invoices.
• Code invoice batches with vendor numbers and terms.
• Enter credits and postings for customer accounts and payments.
• Maintain AP files and backup paperwork.
• Assist with customer credit reference inquiries.
• Support Accounting Specialist as needed.
• Order and maintain accounting office supplies.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
