Job summary

GardenCore is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team and manage high-volume AP tasks on site in Sauget, IL. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, invoice coding, and vendor communication in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree or equivalent, strong Excel skills, and excellent organizational and written communication abilities. Prior AP experience and familiarity with 10-key data entry are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with relevant accounting exposure.
• Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency for data handling.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn systems and perform high-volume data entry.

Responsibilities

• High volume data entry with accuracy and speed.
• 3-way match of invoices and proper documentation.
• Code invoices to expense accounts with correct terms.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues.
• Maintain AP files (paper and electronic) and gather W-9 data.
• Comply with accounting policies and SOX requirements.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks and general office duties.
• Sort and distribute mail for the accounting department.
