Job summary

Brilliant Financial Staffing seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist for a Vernon Hills, IL assignment with a contract-to-hire path. The role reports to the Accounting Manager and handles high-volume AP processing, 100+ invoices, and supplier communications in a manufacturing environment.

Eligible candidates have 4+ years' AP experience and strong Excel skills. Compensation includes a pay range of $26–$29 per hour, with health, dental and vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ of recent experience in full cycle AP processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor AP email inbox
• Process 100+ AP invoices in a 3-way match environment
• Review, reconcile and approve all AP invoices for the region.
• Monitor all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts.
• Responsible for paying all sales tax on appropriate invoices and making a note of each tax payment made.
• Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments.
• Assist in 1099 processing

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Accounts Payable Specialist with our client located in ** Vernon Hills, IL.** Our client has recently experienced tremendous growth, and they are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a contract to hire basis. Our client is a well-established, large manufacturing organization who specializes in products for the agricultural industry ** .** The Accounts Payable Specialist will be working alongside 1 other specialist and be reporting to the Accounting Manager. The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist would be able to interview ASAP and start shortly after.

** Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:**
