Job summary

Phoenix Home Care in Springfield, MO is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. You will handle payables, process invoices, and ensure timely, accurate vendor payments. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented, with experience in accounts payable processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of MS Office software.
• Experience with SAGE Accounting software preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Code invoices, credit card charges, and entries into the financial system for a multi-location company.
• Handle vendor correspondence via phone or email.
• Investigate and resolve problems with invoices and purchase orders.
• Track W-9 and 1099 end-of-year processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with monthly closings and status reports.
• Back up daily deposits as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Coding of items such as invoices, Credit Card Charges etc., proper entry into the financial system for a Multilocation Company.

• Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email


• Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders.


• Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.


• W9 and 1099 End of Year Tracking


• Bank Statement Reconciliation

• Back Up for Daily Deposits as needed


• Assists with monthly status reports, and monthly closings.


• Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Knowledge of MS Office software required


• Experience with SAGE Accounting software preferred but not required
