You will process 100–150 invoices weekly, perform 3-way matching, code invoices, and work with a manual environment while system improvements are rolled out. Strong Excel skills and ERP experience are required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

CV Resources, in partnership with our CPG client, is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join a large, fast-paced accounting team for a well-capitalized company near Norco, CA. This is an onsite, temp to hire opportunity supporting a high-volume Accounts Payable operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Accounts Payable Processing (General)

• Process 100–150 invoices per week with accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform 3-way matching (purchase order, invoice, and receipt).
• Code invoices and ensure proper approvals.
• Work within a manual AP environment while new systems and improvements are being implemented.
• Utilize Excel and internal accounting systems for tracking and reconciliation.

Accounts Payable Processing (Freight)

• Process freight invoices (LTL, FTL, parcel, and ocean/air) against bills of lading, rate confirmations, and carrier contracts.
• Catch billing discrepancies such as duplicate charges and fuel surcharge errors before payment.
• Resolve freight billing disputes with carriers and logistics partners.
• Code invoices to the correct GL accounts and cost centers.
• Communicate with internal departments and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Partner closely with accounting leadership and AP team members.
• Maintain organized records and documentation.
• Assist with Accounts Payable process improvement initiatives.
• Support special accounting projects as needed by management.
