Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Greater Hartford Region. You will process and enter a high volume of vendor invoices, matching to purchase orders and receiving documentation.

Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies, and maintain proper accounting for prepaid expenses and capital equipment purchases. You will also keep records current for all invoices and vendor data, including W-9s and compliance paperwork.

About the Accounts Payable Specialist role:

• The Accounts Payable Specialist will process and enter a high volume of vendor invoices into the Accounts Payable system, and match to purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner
• The Accounts Payable Specialist will ensure proper accounting and tracking of prepaid expenses and capital equipment purchases
• Maintain records for invoices (pending, unpaid, and paid) in compliance with record retention policies

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 3+ years experience with Accounts Payable in a high-volume environment (processing 250+ invoices a week)
• The Accounts Payable Specialist must have excellent communication skills
