You will manage AP inbox, code invoices, route approvals, process ACH payments, and maintain accurate records in Great Plains, using Excel and internal tools. This role supports the accounting team and resolves invoice discrepancies.

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client near Greenwood, IN in search of a contract AP Specialist. This person will be working on a hybrid schedule. The contract is set to last 2-3 months, potentially longer.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the Accounts Payable inbox, responding to vendor inquiries and routing invoices appropriately.
• Review, code, and process vendor invoices using established procedures and reference materials.
• Route invoices through the approval workflow
• Verify invoice details and ensure proper coding to General Ledger accounts.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, including validating billing locations and account assignments.
• Prepare and process ACH payments.
• Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with vendor communication regarding invoice status and payment inquiries.
• Utilize Excel and internal tracking tools to manage AP activities and maintain organization.
• Support the accounting team with additional AP-related tasks as needed.
