Job summary

Vaco Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist in downtown Indianapolis (near Mass Ave) on a full-time, contract-to-hire basis. The role offers a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days remote and a pay range of $28-32/hour with OT eligibility.

Key duties include processing AP invoices, verifying and reconciling documents, maintaining vendor accounts, handling payments, supporting month-end close, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience processing AP invoices and payments.
• Understanding of vendor onboarding and W-9 forms.
• Familiar with month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Process AP invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Verify and reconcile invoices, POs, and receipts.
• Maintain vendor accounts and respond to inquiries.
• Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wires).
• Support month-end close activities including accruals.
• Collaborate with departments and vendors on billing issues.
• Drive automation and process improvements in AP.
• Assist with audits and provide documentation.
• AR backup and other duties as assigned.
