Job summary

A Cranston, RI consumer goods company is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a 3–5 month temporary role with the potential for extension or permanent hire. The position is onsite four days per week with an hourly pay rate of $30.00 to $36.00 per hour, within a 40-hour work week.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounts payable experience, including processing high-volume invoices, supplier set-ups, and check/wire requests.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting/accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are a must.
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
• Strong sense of urgency and detail orientation.

• Review and process a high volume of invoices.
• Maintain invoice volume and cycle time accuracy goals.
• Accurately code (General Ledger) and enter invoices for payment.
• Work with suppliers to resolve account discrepancies and payment issues.
• High-volume preparation of weekly payments.

We are currently seeking candidates for an Accounts Payable Specialist at a consumer goods company located in Cranston, RI 02921. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of accounts payable experience, including processing high-volume invoices, supplier set-ups, and check/wire requests.

This role is a 3–5-month temporary role with an opportunity for extension and/or permanent hire.

Hourly Pay Rate: Between $30.00 and $36.00 per hour (based on relevant work experience) within a 40-hour work week.

On-site 4 days per week.

Starts November 16, 2026.
