Job summary

Vitan Equipment is seeking an Accounting Clerk to perform routine data entry for accounting records, process accounts payable and receivable, and post journal entries to the general ledger. The role requires accuracy, proficiency with MS Office and accounting software, and strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate will review invoices for accuracy, generate reports, and assist with various accounting projects while adhering to departmental procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting/related experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Strong data entry and numerical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine data entry for accounting records including payables and receivables.
• Review billing statements and invoices for accuracy.
• Post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Generate summary sheets and reports as directed.
• Allocate expenditures to correct accounts per procedures.
• Assist with various accounting projects as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Principle Responsibilities

• Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, cash receipts posting and accounts receivable adjustments.
• Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy.
• Posts journal entries to general ledger.
• Generates summary sheets and reports as directed.
• Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
• Assist with various accounting projects as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
