Job summary

Strategic Employment Partners (SEP) is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in a hybrid role based in Avon Lake, OH. You will own a high-volume AP workload, including PO and non-PO, as the company consolidates divisions onto NetSuite and Zip Procurement.

The position offers a base hourly rate of $30-$36 with overtime and full benefits, including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with 6% employer match, tuition reimbursement, and 21+ PTO days plus 10 holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Procure-to-Pay experience: PO matching, 3-way match, invoice coding
• Comfortable with high-volume AP: 50+ invoices/day, mix of PO and non-PO
• Experience in an evolving process with ERP/system implementations

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume AP workload (PO and non-PO)
• Contribute to consolidation of divisions onto NetSuite and Zip Procurement
• Operate with minimal in-person oversight in a build-phase environment

We're recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist with a growing, venture-backed biotech manufacturer. You'd run your own high-volume AP workload (PO and non-PO, fully electronic) and play a hands-on role as the company consolidates multiple divisions onto NetSuite and Zip Procurement. This is a build-phase seat with real ownership, not a maintenance role.

Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Hybrid, 3 days onsite in Avon Lake, OH. Also open to candidates based near the company's LA and Bay Area offices, with the same 3-day onsite schedule.

Compensation: $30-$36/hr, with flexibility based on location and experience. Hourly/non-exempt, overtime expected + full benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with 6% match, tuition reimbursement, 21+ days PTO + 10 holidays)

Must-Haves:

• 3+ years of hands-on Procure-to-Pay experience: PO matching, 3-way match, and invoice coding
• Comfortable with high volume (50+ invoices/day, mix of PO and non-PO)
• Comfortable in an evolving process environment with a systems implementation underway
• Able to work independently with minimal in-person oversight

Strong Pluses:

• Zip Procurement or NetSuite experience
• Other ERP or procurement software experience (SAP, Coupa, Ariba, QuickBooks)
• Multi-entity or multi-division AP experience
• Credit card and expense processing experience
• Freight or logistics invoice coding
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
