Job summary

Katalyst Systems Impact in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an organized Accounting Clerk to support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in a full-time on-site role.

The position requires 4+ years of AP/AR experience, familiarity with Sage 300 and QuickBooks Online, and strong Excel/data-entry skills. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with flexibility for a 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. shift. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
• Experience with Sage 300 and QuickBooks Online is highly preferred.
• Excellent Excel skills and strong data-entry accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple company records and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication with vendors and customers.
• Independent work style with guidance from the Controller.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable for multiple companies: review invoices, code expenses, and prepare payments.
• Handle accounts receivable: issue invoices, record payments, and follow up on balances.
• Open mail, log checks, and prepare bank deposits.
• Set up vendor and customer records, including W-9 collection.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and audit prep with the Senior Accountant.
• Respond to vendor/customer inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Scan and file accounting documents and provide general office support.
