Job summary

Trask Performance is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our daily accounting operations. This hands-on role focuses on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections, maintaining accurate records and communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.

You will process vendor invoices, verify documentation, reconcile statements, and assist with routine accounting tasks while protecting confidential financial information.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience preferred.
• Collections experience is a plus.
• Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, email, and standard office software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and verify required supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and reconcile vendor statements.
• Prepare customer invoices and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
• Apply and verify customer payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue balances.
• Assist with routine collections and document customer follow-up.
• Research routine invoice, payment, and account discrepancies and escalated unresolved issues for review.
• Assist with basic account reconciliations and routine accounting tasks.
• Maintain organized electronic accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal team members to obtain missing information and resolve routine questions.
• Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Protect confidential company, customer, and financial information.
