Job summary

FVRLibraries is seeking an Accounting Specialist (100% FTE) in Vancouver, WA to perform accounts payable, payroll processing, and general ledger tasks. The role involves preparing reports for state and federal agencies, maintaining vendor data, and ensuring accurate financial data across programs.

Requires an associate degree in a related field and at least three years’ experience; five years is preferred. Salary is hourly with comprehensive benefits including insurance and leave accruals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of related experience; five years preferred.
• Customer service experience; lead worker experience required.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable including invoices, coding, and approvals.
• Process payroll data and assist with semi-monthly payroll processing.
• Prepare and submit financial and payroll reports to internal teams and agencies.
• Record general ledger entries and maintain GL accounts; reconcile deposits.
• Communicate policy guidance to other departments and handle vendor inquiries.
