Job summary

Native Forward Scholars Fund is seeking a responsible Finance Office team member under direct supervision of the Controller. The role handles accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting, while maintaining confidentiality of privileged information.

The position supports funders and regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance through a variety of accounting tasks. Travel for training and meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; two years accounting experience or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Receive and reconcile invoices; ensure accuracy and attachments.
• Code account numbers for cost distribution; input to AP system.
• Prepare and generate vendor checks; obtain signatures.
• Maintain filing system; provide AP information to staff.
• Prepare payroll for review and maintain records.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports; research accounts as needed.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations.
