Job summary

Talentify is seeking an accounting support professional to assist the CFO with a variety of financial duties in a county office. The role includes accounts payable entry, deposits, journal and budget entries, and payroll backup as needed.

You will also support training for bookkeepers and manage fixed assets and grant reimbursements. Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience, familiarity with general ledger concepts, and the ability to work with county

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with general ledger, accounts payable and payroll.

Responsibilities

• Enter accounts payable into the current accounting system with proper GL coding and verify totals.
• Prepare and record local deposits and journal/budget entries; provide documentation to the county as needed.
• Assist with payroll responsibilities as needed and cover payroll in their absence.
• Maintain fixed asset listing and assist with grant reimbursements and vendor communications.
