Job summary

Mortenson Construction seeks an Accounts Payable Support Manager to lead the AP Support function and oversee daily activities of the AP Support team. You will manage vendor inquiries, master data, payments, and 1099 reporting to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant outcomes.

You will monitor KPIs, SLA adherence, and drive continuous improvement while promoting internal controls and service excellence within Finance partnerships across Tax, Compliance, and Procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent practical Accounts Payable experience will be considered.
• 5-7 years of progressive Accounts Payable leadership experience required.
• Experience with electronic payment solutions and 1099 reporting preferred.
• Experience with AP systems and case management tools like ServiceNow preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AP Support team handling vendor inquiries, payments, and 1099 reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement and AI-enabled efficiency within Accounts Payable.
• Monitor SLAs, KPIs, and performance trends; address backlog and risks.
• Coach and develop AP Support staff; establish procedures and documentation.
