Job summary

Hodess is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function for construction projects. You will manage invoice processing, coding accuracy, and supplier payments while ensuring internal controls and timely month-end close.

The role requires CMiC and Sage expertise, high-volume processing, and collaboration with Project Management and Finance. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while guiding the AP team toward improved efficiency

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, preferably within construction, general contracting, engineering, real estate development, or another project-based industry.
• Hands-on CMiC and Sage experience; processes from invoice to payment.
• Strong Excel skills for large data sets, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Ability to manage high-volume AP in a project-based environment.
• Knowledge of W-9s, lien waivers, insurance certificates, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills; detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with project teams and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt through payment.
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, purchase orders, contracts, supporting documentation, and applicable job costs.
• Manage weekly payment runs and monitor AP aging.
• Reconcile vendor statements and assist month-end close.
• Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and project costing.
