Job summary

Cart.com is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager in Austin, TX to lead a high-performing AP team and optimize our global supplier payments. You will own the AP process, drive compliance, and partner with procurement and finance to scale our operations.

You will manage month-end close, vendor relations, and internal/external audits while implementing automation initiatives and ensuring data accuracy. This role suits detail-oriented leaders in a fast-growing ecommerce environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounts payable experience with vendor management and payment execution.
• Experience supervising an AP team and mentoring associates.
• Familiarity with high-growth ecommerce environments.
• Strong knowledge of AP systems (Bill.com, ERP) and Excel analytics.
• Automation and process-improvement mindset to scale AP operations.
• Tax compliance familiarity (W-9/1099) and audit readiness.
• Project management experience for system upgrades or process overhauls.
• Ability to manage cross-functional projects across procurement, finance, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounts payable, including invoice processing and payments.
• Lead and mentor a small AP team, providing direction and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve invoicing issues.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and accruals.
• Prepare AP reports for cash flow insights and management reviews.
• Collaborate with IT and finance on AP systems enhancements.
• Assist in audit preparation and documentation.
• Develop training materials and SOPs for the AP function.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize end-to-end processes.
