Job summary

The American Arbitration Association in New York seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee end-to-end disbursement operations, ensure accurate payments, and uphold regulatory compliance.

You will manage vendor relationships, lead a team, support month-end close, and collaborate with Finance and IT on system improvements.

Strong Excel skills, ERP experience (NetSuite/Oracle), and AP automation familiarity are required; a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in AP—2+ in leadership—are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of AP experience with 2+ years in management.
• ERP experience with NetSuite or Oracle preferred.
• Experience with AP automation tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct accounts payable operations including vendor management, invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
• Support month-end close through variance analyses, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance through regular audits of internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop AP team members to enhance operational efficiency.
• Partner with Finance and IT on systems implementation and optimization.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Attend on-site meetings and training sessions.
