Job summary

Cresco Labs in Chicago, IL is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function within the corporate finance team. You will supervise AP clerks and leads, ensure accurate invoice processing, and manage vendor payments while driving process improvements across newly acquired businesses and expanding markets.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in AP, strong SOX/ERP experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in staff accounting, accounts payable, accounting clerk or related role.
• Public company experience with SOX controls is highly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems SAP and/or Sage Intacct.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Enjoys working in a start-up, fast-paced environment and can work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and follow-through on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment, including staff coding.
• Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers; maintain financial records.
• Prepare AP aging, accruals, and related schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Supervise a team of 10 including a Supervisor, a Lead, and AP clerks.
• Collaborate with Treasury for cash flow forecasting.
• Coordinate with Corporate Accounting to ensure proper AP coding and accruals.
• Develop and document AP processes and controls; support SOPs and policies.
• Assist with ERP implementations and additional reporting systems.
• Drive continuous improvement and integration of AP for new markets and acquisitions.
• Plan evolution of the AP team as the business grows; monitor KPIs and data points.
• Support year-end audit and tax processes with compliant record-keeping.
