Accounts Payable Manager for a Fashion Apparel Company

Job Overview:

As the Accounts Payable Manager with an established fashion company, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the accounts payable processes within the organization. Your primary focus will be on processing high volumes of accounts payable invoices for payment, issuing payments through various channels, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will be responsible for addressing discrepancies with customers, reviewing warehouse invoices, and supporting the controller in accrual processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle a substantial volume of accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payment processing.
• Issue payments utilizing various methods, including creating wires (Letter of Credit) and checks using bank websites.
• Maintain accurate records by updating accounts with paid invoices and managing deductions during wire transfers.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve any discrepancies related to pricing, discounts, allowances, and shortages. Effectively manage disputes and identify and address invalid claims.
• Review and approve warehouse invoices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accuracy in billing.
• Assist the controller in the accrual process duties, contributing to accurate financial reporting.
• Proficiency with computers, especially business solutions and bookkeeping software and ERP systems
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related field
