Accounts Payable Manager

Grapevine, TX - 4 days onsite (transitioning to 3X/week in 3-6 months)

One of Vaco's PE-backed midmarket clients in the IT space (cloud services, cybersecurity, etc.) is looking to onboard an AP Manager as part of a team restructuring. This role will oversee a team of 3 and lead a continuous process improvement project across the company as they centralize functions.

Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Accounts Payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor disbursements.
• Oversee hiring, training, assigning, counseling, disciplining, terminating staff, and perform annual merit reviews.
• Engage with upper management, external vendors, and internal departments to align solutions with company financial and operational goals.
• Establish, enforce, monitor, and update internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business growth.
• Plan and design Accounts Payable processes to handle new volume, technological changes, and compliance requirements.
• Enhance AP procedures, processes, and staff productivity by monitoring department metrics against benchmarks and AP best practices.
• Maintain the integrity of vendor master files, including controls around new vendor setup and maintenance.
• Oversee accurate identification of 1099 vendors and timely IRS reporting.
