Job summary

Risus Talent Partners seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP function at the Clearwater, FL site. You will supervise 5-7 AP staff, streamline invoice processing, ensure timely month-end close, and partner with multiple departments across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will drive process improvements, maintain vendor relations, and provide strong leadership and accountability in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable leadership or supervisory experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel for financial reporting.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-7 Accounts Payable professionals.
• Oversee daily AP operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and policy compliance.
• Manage invoice processing, payment approvals, vendor reconciliations, and issue resolution.
• Monitor AP workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, and other departments.
• Review and approve invoice coding, payment batches, and AP transactions.
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Track departmental metrics and ensure SLAs are met.
• Support standardization of AP processes across locations.

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the AP department, managing a team of 5-7 employees, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, and driving process improvements across the function. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader who can quickly step into a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and provide strong leadership, accountability, and operational support. The position will primarily support the Clearwater location, with potential oversight of one additional site.
