Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager in Austin to lead the AP function, drive timely processing of invoices and expenses, and partner with Accounting, Procurement, Treasury, and other teams to strengthen controls and support month-end close.

You will oversee a growing AP team, manage procure-to-pay operations, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Strong leadership and GAAP knowledge are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive AP/accounting experience.
• 2+ years of AP management or people leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with an ERP/accounting system.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AP team and oversee day-to-day AP operations.
• Manage the procure-to-pay process, including vendor management and invoice processing.
• Oversee AP reconciliations and month-end close activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate AP processes.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls.
• Prepare and analyze AP reporting for leadership.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations.
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve financial operations.
