Follett Higher Education seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee AP operations, lead a team of AP professionals (FTE and contractors), manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards.

The role emphasizes strong organizational skills, mentorship, and implementation of process improvements and controls across high-volume AP processes in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience in high-volume environments.
• 5+ years of management or supervisory experience leading AP professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to support and influence a team.
• Experience working with vendors/partners/offshore resources on accounts.
• Experience managing a mix of full-time, contractors, and offshore resources.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end AP lifecycle, including invoicing, approvals, payments, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a team of AP professionals, including FTE and contractors.
• Provide ongoing development, feedback, and performance管理.
• Vendor relationship management and negotiation of payment terms.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Drive process improvements and internal controls within AP.
