Job summary

Gemaire Distributors is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function in a high-volume distribution environment in Deerfield Beach, FL. You will oversee invoice processing, payments, reconciliations and vendor relationships to ensure timely, accurate financial operations.

The role requires extensive AP leadership, KPI development and process improvements, with a focus on accuracy, compliance and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 8+ years in accounts payable, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience leading an AP team, KPI development, and process improvement in high-volume environments.
• Distribution or inventory-related AP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP from invoice receipt through approval and payment, setting priorities and monitoring progress to resolution.
• Ensure AP subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations and timely month-end close with accurate supporting records.
• Build vendor relationships through proactive communication and timely resolution of inquiries and returns.
• Plan payments and communicate AP cash requirements while honoring terms and discounts.
• Develop and maintain AP KPIs and scorecards and report results to Controller.
