Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 8+ years in accounts payable with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Distribution or inventory-related AP experience required

Responsibilities

• Lead AP from invoice receipt through approval and payment, setting clear priorities and ensuring issues are resolved.
• Ensure accurate PO, receipt and invoice matching; partner with Purchasing, branches and receiving to resolve pricing discrepancies.
• Ensure AP subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations and timely month-end close, including reconciling items and supporting records.
• Build positive vendor relationships through proactive communication and timely resolution of inquiries and returns.
• Plan payments and communicate AP cash requirements to the Controller, honoring terms and discounts.
• Maintain approvals, segregation of duties, vendor setup and bank-change safeguards, and duplicate-payment prevention.
• Develop and maintain AP KPI scorecards with baselines and targets; run KPI cadence and drive corrective actions.
