Job summary

Hayden Industrial is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to guide the AP team, ensure timely invoice processing, and maintain accurate vendor accounts. The role emphasizes training, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years in AP with supervisory experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to drive efficient workflows in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of accounts payable experience preferred.
• Experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory AP role preferred.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, vendor management, and discrepancy resolution.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to train and coach AP staff and collaborate with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to AP Clerks and Specialists; assist with training and onboarding.
• Monitor AP workflow to ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time.
• Review invoices for documentation, approvals, coding, and accuracy.
• Manage AP inquiries and respond within 24 hours.
• Resolve discrepancies in invoices, payments, and vendor accounts; escalate when needed.
• Assist with payment processing and maintain AP reports and metrics.
• Develop and update AP procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Receiving to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Support month-end close, audits, and special projects as assigned.
