LHH Recruitment Solutions in Houston, TX is partnering with a growing organization to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Lead for a fast-moving temp-to-hire opportunity. This role leads day-to-day AP operations and drives process improvements in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in AP, experience mentoring staff, and strong Excel skills; Sage Intacct experience is a plus. Competitive hourly pay and immediate impact are highlighted in this posting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Accounts Payable experience with progressive responsibility
• Experience mentoring or supervising AP staff
• Proven success improving processes, workflows, and controls
• Advanced Excel reporting, lookups and data analysis
• Experience in high-volume/shared services environments preferred
• Sage Intacct experience is highly desirable
• Strong communication across departments

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day AP operations and support the AP Manager
• Mentor and develop AP staff; promote accountability and best practices
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements for efficiency and accuracy
• Analyze workflows, resolve escalated invoice/payments issues with other teams
• Assist with month-end activities, reconciliations, vendor maintenance and payments
• Support training initiatives and establish consistent AP procedures
• Utilize reporting to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
