Job summary

Inotiv is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to support day-to-day operations, ensure accurate processing, and guide the AP team toward best practices. This role includes overseeing the full AP cycle, maintaining internal controls, and supporting month-end close with a focus on efficiency and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AP, strong ERP and AP automation experience, and the ability to mentor staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience with strong process knowledge.
• Experience with 1099 reporting, tax compliance, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Guide AP specialists with best practices, process knowledge, and day-to-day activities.
• Oversee invoice receipt, three-way matching, coding, approvals, and timely payments via multiple methods.
• Escalate AP issues and support continuity when needed.
• Assist month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Identify, implement, and drive process improvements and automation.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, and Accounting to streamline workflows.
