Job summary

Inotiv is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to guide the AP team, ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, and uphold internal controls. You will oversee full cycle AP, mentor staff, and support month-end close while driving process improvements across departments.

The role requires 5+ years AP experience, strong ERP tooling knowledge (JDE/SAP/Oracle/NetSuite), and a focus on SOX compliance and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years progressive Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP best practices, ERP systems, and AP automation tools.
• Experience with 1099 reporting, sales and use tax, and vendor compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle AP: invoice receipt, three-way matching, coding, approvals, and payments.
• Provide guidance to AP specialists and mentor team members.
• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close tasks including accruals and reconciliations.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency.
