Leoforce is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the full AP cycle in a fast-paced construction environment. This mid-level role emphasizes accuracy, process improvements, and collaboration with project teams to keep payments timely and compliant.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AP within construction, strong ERP/digital invoicing skills, and hands-on experience with AI automation to streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including construction industry exposure.
• Hands-on experience with AI automation or intelligent workflow tools in AP/finance.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting practices: job costing, subcontractor billing, retainage.
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems and digital invoice processing platforms.
• Strong spreadsheet skills: reconciliations, data analysis, reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounts payable cycle: invoice receipt, coding, approvals, payments, reconciliation.
• Review construction invoices against PO, subcontract, delivery records, and budgets.
• Allocate costs to projects, cost codes, and departments.
• Process subcontractor payments, retainage, and progress payments per contracts.
• Maintain vendor records, verify payments, resolve invoice issues promptly.
• Utilize AI automation to improve invoice capture, routing, and exception handling.
• Monitor automated outputs for accuracy and ensure human review where needed.
• Collaborate with project managers and procurement to obtain approvals and resolve billing issues.
• Reconcile vendor statements and AP balances; support month- and year-end close.
• Maintain documentation, support audits, and comply with tax and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve payment visibility.
