Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to handle timely invoice processing and payments in accordance with procedures and GAAP. You will audit invoices, perform three-way matches, and maintain vendor records.

You will print month-end AP reports, support 1099 activities, and share back-up duties as needed. The role requires attention to detail and basic accounting education with a year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 0-1+ years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices by verifying three-way match of invoice, PO, and receipt; audit GL account, taxes, pricing, and quantity.
• Match payment documents to vendor invoices and verify vendor name and address.
• Review outstanding reports for received/not invoiced POs and follow up with vendors.
• Print accounts payable reports during month-end closing and perform GL analysis.
• Back up other staff during absence (inventory invoice processing).
• Review new vendors to obtain W-9 forms and tax IDs; update A/P system.
• Assist staff accountant with 1099 forms and distribute tax forms on time.
• Manage department mail and outgoing FedEx; participate in cross-training.
