Badger Meter, a global water technology company in Milwaukee, seeks an experienced accountant to handle complex GAAP accounting and reporting. You will maintain ledgers, post journal entries, prepare analyses, and support audit work papers for the Milwaukee location and subsidiaries.

You will monitor regulatory developments, assist the Accounting Manager with policies and systems, and collaborate with teams across payables, fixed assets, and tax to ensure accurate financial closing under SOX

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of related professional experience in a medium-sized manufacturing environment desired.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• CPA (Certified Public Accounting) preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems.
• Knowledge of accounting theory and procedures with accuracy and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform accounting and financial analysis related to Milwaukee location activity and subsidiaries as needed.
• Post journal entries, maintain ledgers, prepare analyses and audit work papers.
• Monitor developments in accounting standards and government regulations.
• Assist Accounting Manager with procedures, policies, and systems under GAAP for the United States.
• Support accounts payable, fixed assets, sales, tax, invoicing, and expense reporting as needed.
• Monitor closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial closing per SOPs and SOX.
