Arkansas Talent Group partnered with a long-standing organization to identify an Accounts Payable Clerk II. You will support daily AP operations, review documents, verify coding, obtain authorizations, and prepare payments while maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring timely processing.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of AP or related accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and is detail-oriented with a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in AP, Billing, or related Accounting experience
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Proficiency with 10-key data entry
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, thorough work
• Ability to collect and research information, identify discrepancies, and resolve routine issues
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow procedures, meet commitments, and work collaboratively with others
• Strong tenure, history of dependability, and strong references from most recent employers to be considered

Responsibilities

• Review and process accounts payable documents for completeness, clarity, accuracy, and appropriate coding
• Obtain required authorizations and ensure expenses are assigned to the correct categories
• Verify figures, postings, and supporting documentation for accurate entry
• Research and resolve invoice and purchase-order discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor statements to paid invoices and address outstanding discrepancies
• Prepare checks for timely distribution
• Respond to accounts payable questions from vendors, customers, and employees
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate supporting records
• Provide responsive, professional service to internal and external contacts
• Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned
