Job summary

Arkansas Talent Group seeks an Accounting Associate to support a fast-paced, multi-entity organization. You will focus on accounts payable and assist with AR, payroll support, and bookkeeping tasks across entities.

Ideal candidates bring strong Excel skills, experience with QuickBooks or Yardi, and an eye for detail. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and timely processing in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, payroll support, or a related accounting-support role required.
• Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity accounting environment strongly preferred.
• Strong accounts payable experience: invoice processing, coding, vendor communication, and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day accounting support across multiple entities and leadership levels.
• Process high volume accounts payable invoices accurately, including approvals, coding, and documentation.
• Assist with vendor setup, W-9 collection, and vendor inquiries; resolve payment discrepancies.
• Support weekly and recurring payment processes; prepare invoices for payment and track status.
• Assist with accounts receivable activities including invoicing and applying payments.
• Maintain organized AP/AR records across entities, banks, and systems.
• Support payroll-related processes by gathering payroll information and reporting.
• Assist with bookkeeping duties: transaction coding, account research, and document management.
• Research and resolve invoice, payment, vendor, and account issues promptly.
• Assist with bank account activity review, cash-management, and related documentation.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and supporting docs for the accounting team.
• Support month-end/year-end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Assist with integration of newly acquired entities and system/process transitions.
