Job Description

Basic Function:

The Accounts Payable Clerk verifies all vendor bills, credit card purchases, and other purchases entered into the accounting system accurately.

• Responsible for entering and processing purchase orders from all department team members.
• Responsible for making sure that materials/equipment received pricing matches the purchase orders.
• Report all discrepancies between purchase order prices and vendor charge prices to supervisors and help resolve discrepancies.
• Match purchase orders with packing slips and vendor statements.
• Responsible for entering all materials/equipment/purchases with the correct general ledger number.
• Responsible for entering non-purchase order payables using the correct general ledger number.
• Responsible for entering credit card payments and assigning them to the correct general ledger number.
• Review all other payables.
• Other tasks as requested.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel.
• Excellent working knowledge of Service Titan and Sage.
• Ability to accurately enter data into the computer.
• Ability to professionally deal with employee and vendor situations.
• Ability to represent Carolina Cool in a professional manner with customers, vendors, staff, and the general public.
• Excellent understanding of bookkeeping and accounting practices
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively and complete work on time.
• Work confidentially – details of vendor costs, payments, and job activities should not be discussed with team members other than your supervisor.
• Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
