An Accounts Payable Clerk at Fisk Electric will perform various accounting functions related to Accounts Payable processing for multiple construction projects, working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and Controller. Responsibilities include:

• Managing project payable accounting from inception through project close-out and warranty.
• Reviewing and posting job costs and purchase orders timely for project managers.
• Verifying vendor compliance items before issuing payments.
• Preparing and balancing weekly disbursements.
• Maintaining accurate files and records.
• Processing invoices via Fisk’s imaging system.
• Gaining proficiency in accounting software and sharing knowledge with team members.
• Building professional relationships with colleagues and vendors.
• Continuously updating professional knowledge.

Requirements

• High School diploma; two years of advanced business or accounting education preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in computer use, good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of construction accounting processes is a plus.
• Physical requirements include light physical effort, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
