SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Accounts Payable Clerk compiles, processes, and maintains accounts payable records for the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and the Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Community. Further, this position establishes and maintains accounts and financial records for requisitions, purchasing, and payables.
We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. The Accounts Payable Clerk coordinates the Long Term Care accounts payable process through preparing payable reports, reconciling invoices, assembling/verifying payable warrants, entering invoices/journal entries/fiscal transactions/ledgers/expenditures/etc., preparing invoices for coding, and reviewing budgetary lines for potential over-expenditures. Additionally, the Accounts Payable Clerk develops/maintains a filing system, reconciles monthly bills, audits processed work, maintains inventory records, alerts the Fiscal Services Manager of discrepancies, and provides assistance with monthly closing, quarterly/annual reporting, and reconciling accounts. Must be able to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position and department.
