Job summary

Ken Garff Automotive Group in American Fork is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk. The role involves reviewing invoices, processing payments, and assisting with monthly closings within a supportive team environment.

You will work Monday–Friday with competitive hourly pay starting at $18–$19. The position emphasizes accuracy, strong communication, and reliable office software skills in a professional auto dealership setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years AP/AR experience; automotive experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and general computer/calculator use.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized and effective problem-solver.
• Advanced computer skills.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Prepare invoice deduction notices as needed.
• Audit freight bills against freight manifests.
• Answer vendor inquiries.
• Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms when cash is restricted.
• Prepare AP checks and related reports.
• Assist in monthly closings and with AR as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Prepare invoice deduction notices, as necessary
• Audit freight bills against freight manifests
• Answer all vendor inquiries
• Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted
• Prepare accounts payable checks
• Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files
• Prepare analysis of accounts, as required
• Assist in monthly closings
• Assist with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 1-2 years AP/AR experience, previous automotive experience a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products, and the general use of a computer and calculator
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and effective problem-solver
• Advanced computer skills
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred
