Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; or an Associate’s degree with 3 years relevant experience.
• 3 years of accounting experience with knowledge of accounting and other finance-related areas.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact professionally.

Responsibilities

• Audits invoices for payment; verifies against the purchase order and contract/bid items.
• Processes payments for all county departments and refunds.
• Assists vendors and county departments with invoice questions.
• Processes payroll deductions to vendors.
• Works with Purchasing on billing issues with vendors.
• Runs weekly check runs and transfers check files for printing of checks.
• Runs reports for distribution to various departments concerning check runs.
• Maintains vendor records for 1099 purposes.
• Participates in emergency management duties during a local state of disaster.
