We are seeking an AP Specialist to join a growing accounting team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate who is looking to build a career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in Accounts Payable.

While previous AP experience is a plus, it is not required. We are primarily looking for someone who is dependable, organized, motivated to learn, and has demonstrated longevity and commitment in previous roles.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused while managing a high volume of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and process a high volume of supplier invoices.
• Process, sort, scan, and organize incoming mail and invoices.
• Review invoices and accurately assign appropriate job and general ledger cost codes.
• Learn and follow established invoice processing requirements.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with resolving payment discrepancies.
• Review supplier statements and maintain accurate records.
• Work with project managers and suppliers to provide professional and responsive customer service.
• Assist with identifying opportunities to improve internal processes.
• Support ad hoc accounting projects and reporting requests.
• Maintain accurate and timely follow-up on outstanding items.
