Job summary

Horizon House in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our Fiscal Division. This full-time role processes payments, invoices, and related AP tasks to ensure timely, accurate transactions for a nonprofit serving the community.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, at least 3 years of AP experience, strong data entry skills, and excellent communication with attention to detail. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Horizon House, a non-profit organization, has been widely recognized for its services as a provider of community-based behavioral health, intellectual disabled and homeless services in Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware. Each year, Horizon House provides a continuum of services at over 100 sites to over 4,5000 adults with psychiatric or developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol addictions, and/or homelessness. A pioneer in the field of community-based rehabilitation, Horizon House is widely recognized for its innovative approach to the delivery of services in a community setting. Currently, we are seeking full time Accounts Payable Associate to work in our Fiscal Division.

The Accounts Payable Associate will ensure that all approved payments are processed on a timely and accurate basis, in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.

This position performs:

• Posting payments
• Processing invoices
• Troubleshoot billing concerns/issues
• Printing checks/electronic payments
• Accounts Payable records filing and retrieval.

A successful applicant will have the following

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  At least 3 years of prior account payable related experience, or any combination of experience, education, or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.
• Knowledge of basic accounts payable procedures.
• Data entry and computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.

Scope:

• Required to sit for long periods of time.
• Light lifting and/or carrying, not to exceed 50 lbs.
