Hunter Truck in Butler, PA, is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our family-owned Peterbilt dealership. Since 1938, we have built a reputation for integrity, teamwork, and outstanding service across the region.

This full-time role offers an 8:30am–5:00pm schedule and a chance to grow within a supportive, growth-minded team. You will process invoices, manage bi-weekly check runs, review bills for accuracy, and support the accounting team while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical school education, or two years of related accounting or accounts payable experience.
• CDK experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to sit, use a computer and keyboard for extended periods; lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently with proper coding and posting to the general ledger.
• Prepare and process bi-weekly check runs and other payment methods.
• Review invoices for accuracy, applicable sales tax, and required approvals prior to payment.
• Research and resolve invoice, purchase order, payment, and vendor discrepancies with branch locations and suppliers.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with branch personnel, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth accounts payable operations.
• Provide backup reception support and assist with intercompany travel or special projects.
• Maintain a professional work environment while adhering to health and safety policies.

What You’ll Do

• As an Accounts Payable Associate, you\'ll help ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices and vendor payments while supporting the accounting team and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments and external vendors. You will:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and posting to the general ledger

What You Bring

• Education & Experience: Associate\'s degree, technical school education, or two years of related accounting or accounts payable experience preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict monthly deadlines. E xperience with CDK is preferred.
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver\'s License required; must meet company insurability standards for occasional intercompany travel.
• Physical Requirements: Regular sitting, computer use, and frequent keyboarding throughout the workday. Occasionally stand, walk, bend, or lift office materials weighing up to 20 lbs. Must have close vision and the ability to focus on detailed financial documents and computer screens for extended periods.
